Our Story

Dreams Empowered was born from a simple truth: there are incredibly talented junior golfers whose dreams are being limited — not by their ability, but by their access.

Golf is a sport that can open doors to college, careers, and lifelong opportunities. But for many gifted young athletes, those doors stay closed because their families cannot afford the coaching, tournaments, equipment, and guidance required to compete at a high level.

Talent is everywhere. Opportunity is not.
And that reality broke my heart.

As a mother of four competitive junior golfers, I’ve lived the financial strain of this sport. I’ve stood on the sidelines at tournaments and watched kids with extraordinary potential struggle — not because they lacked skill, but because they lacked support.

I’ve seen young athletes show up with borrowed clubs, worn‑out shoes, or no coach to guide them. I’ve seen kids shoot high scores simply because no one ever taught them how to prepare, how to strategize, or how to navigate the competitive pathway. I’ve seen the discouragement in their eyes. The quiet belief that maybe they don’t belong. And I knew that wasn’t true. These kids do belong. They just need someone to believe in them. Someone to open the door. Someone to say, “Your dream matters.”

There are wonderful nonprofits that introduce kids to golf — but once those kids outgrow beginner programs, many have nowhere to go. They’re ready to advance. They’re hungry to compete. They’re dreaming bigger. But the support stops right when they need it most. That gap is where too many promising careers fade away. And that gap is exactly where Dreams Empowered steps in.

I created Dreams Empowered Foundation to give these young athletes a place to grow — a place where they can receive high‑level coaching, tournament guidance, mentorship, and the resources they need to chase college scholarships and beyond. A place where financial barriers don’t decide their future. A place where every child feels seen, supported, and capable. A place where diversity is celebrated and inclusion is non‑negotiable. Most of all, a place where dreams are not limited by circumstance.

To every young golfer who has ever felt overlooked, under‑resourced, or unsure if they belong in this sport: You do. And we’re here to walk beside you — every step, every swing, every dream. Dreams Empowered exists because talent deserves a chance. Because potential deserves a pathway. Because every child deserves the opportunity to rise.

In order to rise to the challenge, we need support from our community, from volunteers to sponsors to mentors.
